My writing career was born out of a dubious stitch-up in 2017. A friend tricked me into attending a dating event under the guise of a restaurant review. And after my unapologetically honest recap – lamenting my profound discomfort – got a few chuckles from the editor and resonated with readers, I knew I wanted to write and make people laugh for a living.
Not long after that, I quit my job and took the plunge.
Boardrooms, Blogs, and Backstage Passes
A decade on, I split my time between two worlds. Half my week is spent with B2B and corporate clients – delivering high-volume SEO copywriting for global agencies and thought leadership for prominent tech brands.
The other half is dedicated to lifestyle journalism, drawing on my Film & TV background to cover entertainment and culture for publications like Urban List, Boss Hunting, and The Fourth Wall.
While I pride myself on adapting to any brand voice, I flex my comedy muscles whenever I get the chance. When I’m not writing (or bingeing Netflix and calling it work), I’m probably taking on a ridiculous physical challenge like running a marathon or climbing a mountain.
There’s nothing I won’t try, but I can’t promise to do it gracefully.
